Technical Data

Impact Resistance

VertiQ A has been tested for mechanical impact resistance when directly mounted in System HAT. This system configuration meets the requirements of 'high impact resistance' in accordance with DIN 18032 Part 3 confirming the system’s durability.

VertiQ A panels have also been tested for resistance to perforation and mechanical impact resistance in accordance with the NFP 08-301 standard. These tests concluded that small objects of diameter larger than 12 mm and different types of sports balls did not cause any significant visible damage, and the visual appearance was not degraded.

The impact resistance of VertiQ A and C is high, however, it is not recommended for use in areas which are likely to be subjected to continuous high levels of impact.

Sound absorption

αw: up to 1.00 (Class A) - Sound absorption is measured in accordance with ISO 354. Sound absorption data αp, αw and absorption class are calculated in accordance with ISO 11654. Sound absorption properties of islands and baffles are quantified by the equivalent sound absorption area AT expressed in m2/item.

Light reflection

From 5% to 72% - Light reflection expressed in % is measured in accordance with ISO 7724-2.

Reaction to fire

Class A2-s1,d0 - Reaction to fire is classified in accordance with EN 13501-1. The fire protection properties of ROCKFON ceilings have been tested and classified in accordance with European norm EN 13501-2 and/or national norms depending on requirements in national building codes.

Humidity and sag resistance

up to 100% RH - ROCKFON ceiling tiles are dimensionally stable even at humidity levels of up to 100% relative humidity and can be installed at all temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C. They can be installed during the very early stage of the build (when windows are not fully sealed). No acclimatisation is necessary.
